Licious has launched Daily Protein Fix, its first range of fully cooked chicken breast. The product is sold fresh rather than frozen and can be eaten straight from the pack or heated in about two minutes.
It comes in five flavours: Kalimirch, Tandoori, Lemon Herbed, Cajun and Herbed Garlic. Each 200 g pack has 30 g of protein and is priced at ₹229.
The range is available on the Licious app in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata, with delivery in 30 minutes. Licious now sells more than 300 products across ready to eat, ready to cook, fresh meat and seafood.
Tavleen Bhatia, Business Head for Ready to Cook, said that as protein becomes more popular, shoppers will learn to tell real nutrition from products that only claim it, and positioned the range as real chicken delivering 30 g of protein in two minutes.
Market Research Outlook: Protein has become India’s hottest food claim, and Licious is going after it with whole meat rather than bars or powders. Fresh, fully cooked chicken solves the convenience problem for gym goers and office workers alike. The range pushes ready to eat food beyond snacks into everyday nutrition.
