Summercool Home Appliances is setting up a new air cooler plant in the Meerut Road Industrial Area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of about ₹50 crore. The facility spans 1 lakh square feet.
Production is due to start in October 2026, in time for Navratri. The plant will make 50,000 to 60,000 air coolers a month.
It will create more than 500 jobs, with 200 to 300 direct roles and about 200 more in the supply chain, logistics and distribution. Along with Summercool’s own products, the plant will take on contract manufacturing for other appliance brands. A second phase is already planned.
Ashutosh Gupta, Director of Sales and Marketing, called the plant a major milestone for the company and said Summercool wants to help make Uttar Pradesh a leading manufacturing hub.
Market Research Outlook: Air coolers remain the cooling choice for millions of households that cannot yet afford an AC, especially across north India. Adding contract manufacturing helps Summercool keep the plant busy outside the summer peak. More regional capacity also feeds the wider consumer electronics and appliances push to make in India.
