Indo Tech Transformers Ltd has won an order worth about ₹55 crore, plus taxes, from Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd to make and supply five power transformers. The letter of award is dated 28 August 2026, and the company disclosed the order to the stock exchanges on 31 August.
The order covers three transformers rated 170/175 MVA and two rated 125 MVA. Deliveries are due between January and April 2027.
The company said the contract is not a related party transaction and its promoters have no interest in the customer.
Market Research Outlook: Large transformers are now one of the tightest links in India’s renewable build out, and orders like this show developers locking in supply early. Waaree Renewable’s need for 125 to 175 MVA units points to bigger solar parks feeding high voltage substations. Domestic makers with spare capacity have strong pricing power in the power transformer market right now.
